First-hour progression route

Anime Squadron Beginner Guide

If you are new, your goal is not to chase every rare unit immediately. Build enough economy to place and upgrade units, clear story consistently, then spend rerolls and trait resources on units that will stay useful.

First-hour route

  1. Redeem all available codes before spending time farming.
  2. Upgrade Maximum Yen Capacity and Yen Generation early.
  3. Build a simple squad with one damage unit, one economy unit, and one support or tank.
  4. Clear Story stages to unlock better farming options.
  5. Start crafting gear only after you know which units you are keeping.
  6. Save rare rerolls for units with long-term value.

Early mistakes to avoid

  • Do not reroll traits on every starter unit.
  • Do not ignore economy perks; low Yen slows every stage.
  • Do not build only DPS. You still need survivability and support.
  • Do not assume an old code list is still valid after an update.

Beginner team shape

A safe beginner squad uses a main damage dealer, an economy unit, one fast or utility unit, and a tank or support slot if waves start reaching your base. If you pull Fastwagon, Falcon, Rudaus, Karashi, Shield Hero, or one of the S-tier damage units, build around the role they solve.
